The Edgerton Explorit Center exists to instill and nurture in all people the joy of scientific discovery and exploration through hands on learning experiences.

Homeschool Lab Day

Our Homeschool Lab program is intended to be supplementary science education to those schooling from home. This program has a lab day each month, with a morning (9:30-11:30am) and afternoon (1:30-3:30) session.  Our mad scientists, invited scientists and topic professionals bring information and hands-on opportunities for students to learn. Cost per session is: $6 per student for members, and $10 a student for non-members. READ MORE...

Super Science Saturday

The Super Science Saturday focuses on our mission of adding hands-on science engagement and learning for all ages. This program in created to offer an opportunity for family learning, and is taught by out mad scientists, invited scientists, or topic professionals. This program runs from 1:30-3:30pm at the Edgerton Explorit Center unless otherwise specified.  Free to members, topic vary as do date. READ MORE...

Milk Drop Club Afterschool Program

Milk Drop Club (MDC) is a program for the elementary students offered by Edgerton Explorit Center staff and volunteers. The program replaces the former Wacky Wednesday program and will be offered on Wednesday afternoons during the school year to coincide with Aurora Public School's early out. Edgerton Explorit Center will offer this program as a way to live out the Center's mission statement with local students. The program will promote scientific discovery and exploration as well as provide a safe, intellectually stimulating environment for students who might not otherwise have adequate childcare available to them after early out. Seriously Science Club Afterschool Program

We will also be providing a Seriously Science Club which is a program for the elementary students 2nd -- 5th  offered by Edgerton Explorit Center  led by our Mad Scientists, Dan Glomski (4th and 5th) and Jessica Brock (2nd and 3rd), this program will be seriously hands-on, seriously science, and seriously FUN!  Students involved in SSC will spend each session with science focused topics and activities (labs, projects, presentations, and field trips) as well as a daily snack. The program replaces the former Wacky Wednesday program as a way to live out the Center's Mission Statement and to offer extensive science programming to students in grades 2nd through 5th. This program will be offered on Wednesday afternoons during the school year to coincide with Aurora Public School's early out.  Students in this program should have acute interest in science  and respect for the scientific process.  Students interested in this program will need to go through an interview process to see if they would be a good fit.
