The future is at the Edgerton Explorit Center. Our new distance learning classroom has the capability to receive and deliver programs across the state of Nebraska, across the United States and even beyond. Our distance learning classroom also possesses the most up-to-date teaching technology with two quad-screen projectors, vcr/dvd, fax machine, electronic whiteboard and microscope camera. We also offer laptop computer science curriculum with out distance learnign and outreach programs (15 laptops available). With this technology we hope to deliver some of the most unique programming seen in Nebraska!
The Explorit Zone features over 20 different hands-on exhibits with technological advances. The ultimate in virtual reality programs are being delivered on our chroma key screen. This is the same type of screen used at news stations and in movie productions, but our system puts you right into the action of a variety of video games.
Our theater has also received updating with a new media cart. This cart contains the multiple capabilities of a dvd, vcr, document projector, in room camera and video connection to our distance learning classroom all viewed on our built in projection screen. Our portable media cart is used around the center to show current exhibits, on site demonstrations and special presentations via distance learning.
